  • Product Registration:

Saber implementation came in aim to electronically register and issue conformity certificates for imported products in the country of origin through approved certification bodies.

 

  • Non-regulated Self Declaration (Local – Imported):

It is a declaration from the merchant to state that the product is conformed to the legislation requirements. It is applied to the non-regulated products locally manufactured or imported for sale in the kingdom market.

 

  • Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCOC):

The Shipment Certificate of Conformity is a certificate applied for each imported shipment to Saudi Arabia, it is required for products whether it is regulated or non-regulated to be cleared at the customs ports.

 

  • HS code Definition:

It is an international coding system to classify the product, it allows countries to classify goods prepared for exporting and importing based on customs purposes which facilitates the trade flow. The Saudi Customs created a new HS code integrating both the international system and Gulf system, to be a twelve digits HS Code.

 

  • SASO Certificate of Conformity (PCOC):

Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is a requirement for all Regulated products exported to Saudi Arabia to ensure that they comply and conform to the relevant technical regulations covered by the Saudi Standards and it is done by certified bodies such as TUV, SGS, Intertek, etc...

 

 

 

  • Saudi Quality Mark (SQM):

The Saudi Quality Mark (SQM) is exclusively owned and granted by the Saudi Standards.

Saudi Quality Mark is required for multiple HS codes to ensure that the product has been tested and made sure it conforms to Saudi standards and relevant technical regulations.

 

 

  • Gulf Conformity Mark (G mark):

Conformity mark for products categories subjected to the Gulf Coordinating Council (GCC) technical regulations.

 

 

 

  • Non- commercial shipment certificate:

The non-commercial product's service helps to submit a request for imported shipments that not intended for sale or trade, in order to obtain a shipment certificate such as shipments that are imported by individuals for the purpose of construction or restoration as well as shipments of raw materials products or factory equipment’s used in production lines, and shipments that are supplied to a government agency according to a purchase contract.

  • Other exemption for facility (individuals, small companies, workshop)

 

  • Saudi Food & Drugs Authority
  • Product Registration
  • Request an import permit for food products or medicines.
  • Facility license established by SFDA

 

  • Ministry of Industry & Mineral Resources:

Industrial Exemptions:  Obtaining customs exemption for raw materials, machinery, or spare parts after obtaining the industrial license.

            Required documents for the materials:

  • The formula for calculating the quantities compared to the units mentioned in the license.
  • The value-added model for wood, vegetable oils, and powdered milk
  • A special undertaking for the assembly industries
  • Letters of apology for locally produced materials.
  • Financial statements of the last year.

Required documents for machines and spare parts:

  • Letters of apology for locally produced items.
  • Financial statements of the last year.
  • Pictures of machines, equipment, and spare parts (optional).

 

 

  • Saudi Customs:

Customs insurance

  • Restoring customs duties in accordance with exemption decisions or demarcation errors.
  • Restoring customs duties for re-exported vehicles outside the Kingdom.
  • Restoring customs duties for re-exported goods outside the Kingdom.
